Before Church
Usually Sunday mornings are pretty hectic trying to get the kids and ourselves ready for church. But, I've decided that for the next 3 to 4 Sunday's I'm going to take pictures of the kids before church in all their different holiday outfits. I just don't take enough pics. of the kids when they are dressed up. Trying to take pictures after church just isn't possible since the kids are usually sooo tired and ready for their naps. Here is my first set of pictures from this last Sunday:

Being Blessed!
TEARS OF JOY:
Today my mind started wandering as I was trying to take one of my short "pregnancy" naps. I started thinking about how my little boy (who is not so little anymore) is going to be turning two. His B-day is coming up on the first of December. I am so thankful for him and how he was nothing short of a miracle to us! I am on my fifth pregnancy now. That is hard to believe! My very first baby would have been born December 13, 2005. It is amazing that I still remember that date since even my husband will say I am terrible at remembering dates and events. Right now I find my face full of tears-so strange! My tears are for the 2 precious babies that I have in heaven, and for the 2 precious babies here on earth, and for the one that is still growing inside me. I am so blessed.
I REMEMBER:
I remember how I used to listen to parents talk about their children. I prayed that someday I would be able to have them. I remember going to a fertility specialist wondering if I would find out something horrible. I remember hearing my hematologist say that I should never get pregnant because of my rare blood disease. I remember hearing my doctor say that my hematologist was wrong in saying that. I remember trying so hard to trust the Lord through my pregnancy with Ethan. I would poor out my heart, and think that if I had a third miscarriage I just could not go through the trial of pregnancy and disappointment again.
I SEE:
Now I see how God has blessed me with children! I see how God has answered prayer. I see that God is faithful through heartbreak. I see that God will never give us more than we can bear even when we think at the time that it is more than we can bear. I see how God used my broken heart to understand others who have experienced losses. I see how God wanted to teach me patience and joy in life despite circumstances so that it would help me deal with other hard times to come. I see how we have a God who is full of grace and love. I see that even though this third baby was not planned to be the third in 2 1/2 years-- we are so blessed to be able to have that!
I KNOW:
I know that every hard day I have physically is worth the end result-the miracle-the baby! I know that I would rather have 10 children than not know the blessing of having a child. I wish that every parent could see that God talks about those who have a lot of children as being very blessed because they are!!! (Yet, all the time I hear Christians who from what they say must not see that truth.) A friend of mine (who is very blessed with children :) told me something: "having children is not expensive, it is the lifestyle that is expensive!" Wow, that hit home to me. I've seen time and again how children are spoiled with so much and appreciate so little. I've even experienced the thoughts of: "we need this or that to be able to have another baby." The truth of the matter is that our kids do not "need" most of what we think they should have. In fact it may not always be good for them to have all that they do have. What our children need are parents that LOVE the Lord with all their hearts. When I do that, and when parents do that, we experience the blessings of parenthood as God wanted us too! Ok, I'm done preaching! -- Ha ha :)
PRAYER OF THANKS:
I just want to end with: "Thank you, Lord, for the blessing of children! Thank you for making me a mother. Thank you for this third baby growing inside me. Thank you for other Christians that are excited and congratulate every time they hear of another new life that has been conceived. Thank you for being so good to us!"

Sickness
These past few days have been rough. On Wednesday the kids came down with colds. Colds never seem to phase Ethan too much, but Madison is different. Her allergies give her red rings around the eyes, and keep her sneezing so much of the time. Poor girl - she has my bad allergies. She keeps waking up because she is so congested and can't breath. Jon elevated her mattress by putting a pillow under one end. That seemed to help a little last night.
Wednesday night I came down with the cold. I've had headache's every day and morning sickness on top of that. At times like these my fibro. seems to really act up, also. It has made this week hard. Yet, I know I can trust in the Lord to bring me through this just like He has faithfully brought me through so many other things. God will never give me more than HE can take care of. "When I am weak, He is strong."-I am so thankful for that promise! I am so thankful I have a God who sees what I am going through, and cares for me. As a Christian we are never alone in trials! That is such a praise!

The shock of my life!
After I changed Madison this afternoon I didn't put her clothes back on her. Her room has been really warm so I just decided to let her take her afternoon nap in her diaper. -- This was a very bad idea now that I think about it. But, since she is only 9 months I didn't consider the possibility of her taking her diaper off. Well......I was so-o wrong! I was shocked when I opened the door to her room and saw her completely naked. What I didn't know then was that the real shock was still to come! I put her on the changing table and noticed that something in the room really stunk. I also saw some dried brown stains on her :( I've had experience with Ethan flinging his poopy diaper on the floor during nap time so I immediately started looking in and around the crib. I didn't find anything. I came back to Madison and for the first time saw her clenched fist. I was horrified when I opened that fist. I'm sure you can guess what she had been holding on to. Yuck!!!! As soon as I took the poop away she looked almost relieved. A nice, long bath came next.
My baby girl is growing up!
My 9 month-old continues to amaze me with all that she is learning. This past week I was singing to her, and she started bouncing up and down and clapping! She has been waving "hi" for well over a month, but the clapping is new :)
She has also started crawling!!! It is so-o cute! Many times she gets up on her feet and moves forward on her feet instead of her knees. It makes me laugh when she is pushing up with her feet and hands making a tunnel with her body.
And then last, but not least she said, "duck" today in the bathtub!
What happened to my little infant girl? It feels like it was just yesterday that I was bringing her home from the hospital!

Pink and Green beanies for my nieces!
Spring beanies for my nieces that live in Connecticut!
Abigail's beanie
Alyssa's beanie
I'm trying to get back into my crocheting at night even though I'm tired. It is a great way to get something done at the end of the day, and be able to keep my feet up! These beanies are for my nieces upcoming Birthday's. I miss those sweet, sweet girls! Now I just need to make their brother a beanie so he doesn't feel left out.
